Lagos APC Primaries Postponed To Monday October 1

The Lagos state chapter of All Progressives Congress, APC, has postponed the primaries to Monday October 1.


The spokesman of the party, Joe Igbokwe confirmed this in a telephone chat. He failed to provide reason but said the postponement was “timely so that we can go to church”.



The APC primary was supposed to have held today Saturday before it was shifted to Sunday and now Monday.

The horse-trading continues as the two parties try to outsmart each other with a view to cash in on the fallouts.

Armed soldiers on Sunday invaded Daily Trust regional office in Maiduguri, Borno state and arrested the regional editor, Uthman Abubakar and a reporter, Ibrahim Sawab. Governor Ganduje Drags Kwankwaso To EFCC Over Alleged Corruption

Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has said his administration is probing his predecessor, Senator Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso over multi-billion naira 5 kilometre road projects. Ganduje, who made this known yesterday while inaugurating 12 campaign committees for his second term bid, said Kano State government had taken the matter to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). He explained that the EFCC had gone far in its investigation into the matter in terms of how the money meant for the construction of 5 kilometre roads in the 44 local governments of Kano state were diverted for Kwankwaso’s presidential campaign in 2015.
